Touchdowns and Table Smashing: The Rise of #BillsMafia
As you have probably noticed, I love loyal fan bases. I am not taking anything away from Kansas City or Tampa Bay, as I know they have loyal fan bases as well, but #BillsMafia has taken the world by storm in recent years. The Bills have been to the playoffs now three times since 2017, before that 1999 was their latest appearance. With the recent uptick in success, #BillsMafia has risen to new heights. From creative tattoos, to tossing one-year old babies through birthday cakes shaped like tables, #BillsMafia has no boundaries.
This year, more than ever, the Bills have given #BillsMafia every reason to push the boundaries. The Bills are an elite football team behind Josh Allen and Stefan Diggs. The defense has risen up in recent weeks, making the Buffalo Bills the toughest out in the AFC. Who would have thought that a fan base that has suffered through so much, would have such a rewarding year. Especially given the surrounding environment in New York State. It is no surprise that given the grittiness of #BillsMafia that they are one of four fan bases remaining on Championship Sunday.
Can Josh Allen and the Bills give #BillsMafia a trip to the Super Bowl in 2021? Cole Beasley referred to it in the media, but making the playoffs is not enough for this Bills team. In years’ past, maybe. This year is different. This year the Buffalo Bills are B-I-L-L-T different (see Bartstool Sports Store for T-shirt benefiting small businesses #BarstoolFund). They have an elite QB, and an elite playmaker in Stefan Diggs. The coaching staff controls the game when they need to control the game, and they let Josh Allen air it out when they need to air it out. These Buffalo Bills can win a close defensive game, and/or they can win in a shootout. The question remains, can they pass one final test tonight against the reigning MVP and Super Bowl Champions at Arrowhead Stadium?
The Bills in the Super Bowl would be so #2020, but priceless to the #BillsMafia members who have launched themselves through a table over the years. LET’S. GO. BUFFALO!
I can’t wait to see videos of countless tables being broken tonight in Kansas City, Buffalo, and around the nation. The Bills feel like America’s team of late. Considering my Dolphins allegiance, I just hope we can put the finishing touches on the Ken Dorsey hire so that we can be playing this weekend next season.
